The Usambiro barbet is an east African endemic, similar to d'Arnaud's barbet but larger and with a darker bill. The Usambiro's territory is west of the Rift Valley while d'Arnaud's occurs to the east. These birds were all photographed in Yaida Valley and the Serengeti.
