The African wattled lapwing, also called wattled plover, is the largest African lapwing. It is common in wetland margins and adjacent grasslands in western Tanzania. The fight photo and the chick (Rubondo, 10-22) are courtesy of Amos Pampy Hardecker. The other photos were taken in Katavi NP and Serengeti NP. The enlargements include chicks, a juvenile, an immature, a mating pair and flight photos.
