The short-tailed lark is a northeast African endemic. These upper photos were taken in April 2006 and April 2009 (left 2nd row) on the Asogati Plain. Note the slender, decurved bill and the dark crescent and vertical line below the eyes. Click the photo above to see eight enlargements.
