The curlew sandpiper is a migrant to subsaharan Africa from the Arctic. It may be found near salt and fresh water, often in small flocks with other waders. The birds in these photos were seen at Ndutu, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Eyasi, Emayani, and Pembe Abwe. Click the photo above to see fourteen enlargements.
