The Uluguru violet-backed sunbird is an East African endemic, seen in coastal forests and the Eastern Arc Mountains. The upper photo was taken in the East Usambaras (6-16), courtesy of Melissa Eager. The 2nd row bird was seen in Amani (12-14), courtesy of Per Holmen. The bottom photos were taken in the Udzungwa Mountains (7-07), courtesy of Dr. Louis A. Hansen.
