The chestnut weaver is found in central and east central Tanzania in woodland and bush country, often in large numbers. The females in the 1st row are courtesy of Colin Beale (Manyara Ranch, 8-11) and Valéry Schollaert (Engikaret, 9-10). The others were seen in Olasiti and at Lake Manyara, Nanja Dam, and Tarangire.
