The black-backed barbet (local race: macclounii), found in western Tanzania, is endemic to central Africa and usually seen in riverine woodland. These photos were taken in Biharam (upper 2 photos, 1-16) and Isunkaviola (3rd row, 8-13 ) and (4th & 5th rows, 9-09).
