The upper three adult black-fronted bush-shrikes were seen in the Meru Forest and Ngorongogo rim; the next three were seen in the Magamba Forest; and the 5th row immature was in Arusha NP (4-19), all courtesy of Per Holmen. The right lower photo was taken at Hasama; the left lower, in the Meru Forest. The other photos are courtesy of Louis A. Hansen who comments: "Adults, sexes alike (though males seem to be larger). Subspecies: nigrifrons. Udzungwa Mts (6-07)". There are four color morphs, two of which are shown here.
