The scaly chatterer is a northeast African endemic. The pale blue-grey skin around the eye is diagnostic. The upper photo was taken in Engutukoiti (4-14). The 2nd row bird was seen at Makame-Maasai steppe (3-22); the 3rd row photos, near Shambarai swamp (4-19). The other photos were taken at Engikaret (6-08).
