The pair of African crowned eagles in the middle 3 photos and enlargements # 7 & 8 flew within a few feet of us on the road that circles Ngurdoto Crater in Arusha NP (9-04). A pair may hunt cooperatively and in Arusha NP seek out black-and-white colobus monkeys. The upper nest was seen on Mt. Rungwe, (12-09), courtesy of Tim Davenport. The upper bird in flight was seen in Shimba Hills-Kenya (8-21), courtesy of Per Holmen. The other bird in flight was over the Udzungwa Mountains (2-12), courtesy of Paul Oliver and the bird above was in Arusha NP (2-11), courtesy of Colin Beale. The immature was in Arusha NP (6-14).
