The orange ground-thrush differs from the Abyssinian ground-thrush by having a broken white eye ring and a grey crown. It is found in forest understory at higher altitude. The upper and middle birds above were photographed in the Nou Forest: (upper,10-09; lower, 1-16) and the bottom bird was seen in the Meru Forest (2-23), courtesy of Donyo Gabriel.
