Von der Decken' hornbill pairs and families are common throughout Tanzania in arid bush and wooded grassland. The female has a black bill; the male, a multicoloured red-yellow and black bill; and the immature, a dull yellow-orange and black bill. The left 3rd row photo is courtesy of Karine Van der Vurst.
