The three-banded plover which is common on freshwater wetlands has two black breast bands separated by a white band. The upper photo (Mapungubwe NP-SA, 2-20) is courtesy of Karine Van der Vurst. The eggs were photographed by the bridge near Kuro airstrip in Tarangire (8-18). The other photos were taken at Lake Manyara, Olasiti, Tarangire, Lake Eyasi, Arusha NP and Ndutu.
