The smallest of the puffbacks (14 cm), Pringle's puffback is a northeast African endemic. The male was seen on the Asogati Plain (4-13), courtesy of Callan Cohen. The female in hand was photographed at Landanai (4-09), courtesy of Paul Oliver. Note her brown-red eye, large bill, pale lower mandible and white lores.The 2nd row male (Nyumba ya Mungu, 7-15) is courtesy of Per Holmen. The lower female was seen at Same (1-12).
