The magpie starling is a northeast African endemic and a rare visitor to northeastern Tanzania. The male is black and white; the female, brown and white (click the Macaulay Library link to see a female). The top photo was taken in Shaba NR (Kenya, 3-13), courtesy of Mike Graham.
