The black-bellied sunbird is similar to the beautiful sunbird, but smaller and without the large yellow patches to the sides of the breast. This upper male was photographed in Mkumbara (9-09), courtesy of Valéry Schollaert; the lower male was seen in Nyumba ya Mungu (3-12), courtesy of Paul Oliver.
