The malachite sunbird is a slender long-tailed bright green bird with yellow pectoral tufts, seen in highland forest, moors and cultivation. The upper two photos of males, the male in moult, the female and the juvenile were taken at Mambo (7-11), courtesy of Valéry Schollaert. The right lower photo was taken in Lulanzi (2-08), courtesy of Michael Poulsen. All of the enlargements (click left lower image to see) were taken on the west slope of Mt. Meru.
