The male red-collared widowbirds, ssp. suahelica, (upper images) in breeding plumage were photographed in Madunga Village near Noh Forest (upper two, 3-18); on West Kilimanjaro (3rd row, 5-12) and in Ngorongoro Crater (4th row, 1-07). The right 5th row male was seen at Magongo Hill near Arusha (6-06), courtesy of Anabel Harries. The moulting male was seen at West Kilimanjaro (4-08), courtesy of Frank Snykers.
