The male eastern yellow-billed hornbill has a patch of purple skin on the neck, absent in the female. It is endemic to East Africa. The upper two photos were taken in Mkomazi NP (7-08); the lower two, in Samburu NP (Kenya, 11-96). Click the photo above to see seven enlargements.
