These images include males, females and immatures. The male (upper image) has a dark chestnut breast band, a black bar above the white forehead and a thin black stripe behind the eye; the female (lower) has a light chestnut band and no black marks; the immature has an incomplete grey breast band and grey eye stripe. These birds were part of a small flock foraging in a stream issuing from Lake Eyasi. Click the image above to see more. |
