The northern carmine bee-eater is found in northeastern Tanzania in bushed and wooded grassland, often near water. The 1st row and right 2nd row photos were taken in Mkomazi NP (2-09); the left 2nd row, near Moshi (1-17), courtesy of Christine Baissac. The left lower bird was seen in Msumbugwe Forest (2-08); the right lower, at Pembe Abwe (12-08).
