The pallid harrier, a palearctic migrant, is the smallest of the harriers in Tanzania (40-48 cm). The male is grey while the female is brown above. The upper adult male was at Piaya (2-11), courtesy of Paul Oliver. The next four males were seen in Ngorongoro Crater (9-09). The left 4th row female was in Taragire (2-14); the adjacent female was seen at the Big Swamp (Ndutu, 2-12) and the bottom male, at Seronera (11-11), courtesy of Doug McLennan.
