The grey phalarope is a vagrant to East Africa and has not been previously recorded in Tanzania. The upper two photos were taken in Hidden Valley in the Serengeti on June 25, 2014, courtesy of Daniel Rosengren; the lower three, the second record for Tanzania, at Lake Eyasi on December 11, 2019, courtesy of Chris Schmeling.
