The Basra reed-warbler is a large palearctic migrant (15 cm) with a dark tail and a long pointed bill, infrequently seen in reed beds and rank vegetation along the coast and sometimes inland. The bottom three photos were taken at Mbuyuni Farm near Morogoro (1-17), courtesy of Kim Axmann. The upper photo was taken at the Pangani River (1-10).
