Abbott's starling is endemic to East Africa. It is uncommon in highland forests in north central Tanzania and central Kenya. The upper three photos were taken in Arusha NP. The male (left upper) and the female (right upper) were seen in July 2009; the pair was also in Arusha NP (4-13), courtesy of Paul Oliver. The 3rd row photo was taken on Mt. Kilimanjaro at 2650 m.
