The Tsavo sunbird is an east African endemic similar to the purple-banded sunbird; however, it has a narrower purple breast band (sometimes absent) and a smaller bill. This pair was photographed at Landanai (Maasai Steppe, 4-09), courtesy of Paul Oliver. Click the male to see four enlargements.
