The lesser moorhen is a shy, infrequently seen bird in wetlands and seasonal pools. The top adult was in Tarangire (12-06), courtesy of Anabel Harries. The 3rd row immatures were in Iringa (6-10) and the 4th row adult, at Lake Katavi (1-12), all three photos courtesy of Paul Oliver. The other three photos were taken in Tarangire (5-08).
