The lesser moorhen is a shy, infrequently seen bird in wetlands and seasonal pools. The top adult was in Tarangire (12-06), courtesy of Anabel Harries. The 2nd row fledge was at Nanja Dam (10-10). The 3rd & 4th row juveniles were in the Maasai steppe (6-10); the 5th row, in Iringa (6-10) and the 6th row adult, at Lake Katavi (1-12), all 7 photos courtesy of Paul Oliver. The other three photos were taken in Tarangire (5-08).
