The brown-chested alethe is a short-tailed forest ground thrush with a restricted range west of the Rift Valley. The upper two birds were seen in the Kakamega Forest-Kenya, courtesy of Per Holmen; the 3rd row bird, also Kakamega Forest All other photos were taken in Minziro Forest: the middle four photos; and the bottom two.
