The grey-backed fiscal is often seen in small groups. The displaying birds were at the Big Swamp (Ndutu, 1-14), courtesy of Paul Oliver; additional photos of these birds are in the slideshow. The perched group of 6 is courtesy of Stacy Fong. The immature has a speckled crown and fine barring on the underparts (4th row left). The displaying males in row 6 were seen in Katavi (8-06) and the group of 5 on a limb was at Bologonja (7-14). The right 7th row photo (Serengeti, 10-15) is courtesy of Michael Oates.
