The color of the African dusky flycatcher varies from grey to brown. It is fairly common at higher, wooded elevations including forest, forest edge and gardens, also in lowland north and west of Lake Victoria. The left 2nd row photo (Usa River) is courtesy of Colin Beale; the left 3rd row, Arusha highlands, courtesy of Frank Priscus Shirima. The other photos of adults were taken in Arusha NP, Olasiti and in the Magamba and Ngorongoro forests. The left lower immature was seen in the Rubeho Mountains (4-09); click it to see more including a juvenile and an immature.
