The slender-tailed nightjar is a northeastern Africa endemic. The top photo was taken at TGT-Arusha(9-19). The 2nd row bird was seen in Tarangire, courtesy of Riaan Marais; the 3rd row, Arusha, courtesy of Frank Priscus Shirima; and the bottom photo was taken in Olasiti. The slideshow photos #s 1-11 of a nesting pair of slender-tailed nightjars and their chicks were taken in a grassy field adjacent to a wooded area in Olasiti.
