The chestnut weaver is found in central and east central Tanzania in woodland and bush country, often in large numbers. The upper male was seen in Same (4-19), courtesy of Sadik Kassam; the 2nd row female, at TGT-Arusha (9-19). The female in the left 3rd row was seen in Olasiti (1-21); the right 3rd row, Engikaret, 9-10, courtesy of Valéry Schollaert; and the left 4th row male, in Usa River (3-19), courtesy of Per Holmen. The 6th & 7th row nest photos were taken at TGT-Arusha (9-19). The others were seen at Olasiti, Lake Manyara, Nanja Dam, and Tarangire. Click the photo above to see 23 enlargements.
