The Eastern or African golden weaver, also called yellow weaver, is endemic to coastal southeast Africa. The bird is distinguished from other golden weavers by the red eyes and the chestnut color on the face and throat. The flight photo was taken at Mbuyuni Farm-Morogoro (3-22), courtesy of Kim Axmann. The other photos were taken at Pembe Abwe or along the coast road north of Pangani. Click the photo above to see 16 enlargements.
