The yellow-breasted apalis can be seen in many habitats including forest edge, thickets and gardens, often in the canopy, feeding on insects. These birds were photographed in Tarangire, Ruaha, Yaida Valley, Ngare Naibor and Tanga. The 7th row immature and the right 8th row adult were seen at Mbuyuni Farm near Morogoro; the left 8th row adult, at Mkomazi NP, all courtesy of Kim Axmann. The top photo is courtesy of Paul Oliver.
