The upper male red-headed bluebill was photographed in the East Usambara Mountains (3-09), courtesy of Ole Krogh; the 2nd row, in the Minziro Forest (1-16). The 3rd row female was in the Kakamega Forest-Kenya (7-18), and the lower male, also in the Minziro FR (7-16) are both courtesy of Per Holmen. The male has an all-black abdomen, while the female abdomen is spotted. Also note the bi-coloured bill. |
