The upper two black-fronted bush-shrikes were seen in the Magamba Forest (8-17 & 1-21); and the 3rd row immature was in Arusha NP (4-19), all courtesy of Per Holmen. The right lower photo was taken at Hasama (1-06); the left lower, in the Meru Forest (7-13). The other photos are courtesy of Louis A. Hansen who comments: "Adults, sexes alike (though males seem to be larger). Subspecies: nigrifrons. Udzungwa Mts (6-07)". There are four color morphs, two of which are shown here.
