The orange hindneck distinguishes Denham's bustard from all other bustards in our area. The bird is uncommon in grassland from 600-3000 m. The upper and left lower photos were taken at the Soguna Kopjes (Serengeti, 2-12), courtesy of Robert Barnes; the 2nd row bird, on the Laikipia Plateua-Kenya (1-20); the bird in flight, in Katavi (12-10), courtesy of Silas Olofson.
