The ashy cisticola is a northeast African endemic. The top photo (Orkesumet) is courtesy of Amos Pampy Hardecker. The next four are courtesy of Per Holmen. The right 4th and left 5th row birds were in Engikaret. The 3rd, 4th and 6th row birds were seen in the Maasai steppe and Kidawashi, courtesy of Frank Priscus Shirima.
