The house crow is an invasive species that causes serious damage to crops, livestock, and native avifauna. The upper photos were taken in Dar es Salaam (12-09) in a trap, part of an effort to eradicate house crows which have devastated local bird populations, courtesy of Jan van den Hombergh.
