The namaqua dove is a small (25 cm) dove with a long, tapered tail, usually seen in dry bushed and treed country. The upper photo of a male, female and an immature (Tarangire, 3-15) is courtesy of Stuart Webb. The 2nd and left 3rd row photos are females; the lower right, an immature; the lower left, a subadult; the others are males. The photos were taken in Tarangire, Shambarei, and Lake Manyara.
