The western black-headed oriole is uncommon in north western Tanzania forests. It is similar to the black-headed oriole except the central tail feathers and greater coverts are olive-green and the outer secondaries are edged grey, not white. The top photo was taken on the Western Cape (So. Africa, 12-08), courtesy of Mike Graham; the others, Minziro FR (5-23), courtesy of Per Holmen (center) and Isaac Kilusu.
