The (eastern) forest robin is found in the undergrowth of old growth forests in northwestern Tanzania. Some authors consider this bird to be a subspecies of erythrothorax, Stiphrornis erythrothorax xanthogaster and others consider it a separate species Stiphrornis xanthogaster. Both photos were taken in the Minziro FR (5-23), the upper, courtesy of Isaac Kilusu and the lower, courtesy of Per Holmen. |
