The wood sandpiper is a palearctic migrant, usually seen singly, sometimes in small groups, usually from July to May, occasionally year long. Note the overall brown or grey-brown color, spotted back, long white supercilium and yellow legs. The 5th row photo (Machame, 4-01) is courtesy of Bob Kasworm.
