Temminck's stint is an uncommonly seen palearctic migrant. The upper 3 photos were taken in the Big Marsh at Ndutu, courtesy of Paul Oliver. The middle bird was seen in Emayani The lower 2 photos were taken in Tarangire. Note the plain back, grey head, neck and upper breast and the yellow-green legs (see insert, lower photo). Also shown is a wood sandpiper in the 2nd row for size comparison. |
