The Tsavo sunbird is an east African endemic similar to the purple-banded sunbird; however, it has a narrower purple breast band (sometimes absent) and a smaller bill. The upper bird was seen in Kidapash-Shambarai. The left 2nd row bird was seen in the Maasai steppe, courtesy of Per Holmen. The netted pair was photographed at Landanai (Maasai Steppe), courtesy of Paul Oliver. Click the male to see 12 enlargements.
