The sooty tern is usually seen offshore, sometimes in large flocks. The top photo was taken at Maziwe Island (12-19), courtesy of Per Holmen. The next two photos are of immatures; the lower two, adults, all of which were taken on Bird Island in the Seychelles (10-10), courtesy of Paul Oliver.
