In western Tanzania the range of the African thrush overlaps with that of the mountain thrush (see respective maps). The upper and bottom two birds were seen at Speke's Bay. The 2nd row bird was seen near Kibale NP-Uganda and the middle bird, in the Kakamega Forest-Kenya, both courtesy of Karine Van der Vurst.
