The black-rumped waxbill has an entirely black tail with narrow white distal edges. Tanzanian records are few along the western border and at Darakuta Ranch near Lake Manyara. These photographs were taken near Speke's Bay Lodge (3-13), courtesy of Elsie Rotenberg.
