The fine-banded woodpecker was split from the western Tullberg's woodecker. The female in the top photo was seen in the Engusero Sambu Forest-Loliondo, courtesy of Isihaka Salim Saidi; the 2nd row male was in the Olorien Forest; and the lower photos, in Loliondo area. Note the pale yellow color on the breast and abdomen and the fine banding.
