The striped kingfisher can be seen in many habitats throughout Tanzania. Sexes are alike except the male has a black band on the underwing, not shown in these images. The upper adult (Ibwera-Bukoba, 1-23) is courtesy of Paul Edwards. The immature was photographed at Lake Manyara (right middle, 9-14), courtesy of Mary Caisley.
